Patrol Division

The men and women assigned to the Bear Valley Police Department Patrol Division are the "front lines" of the department; and, in their marked patrol cars, serve as the most visible ambassadors of our community, 24 hours a day, seven days a week

Their duties include pro-active crime prevention, emergency call response, in-depth field investigations, evidence preservation and collection, and the enforcement of district, county, state and federal ordinances and laws. Through problem solving techniques our officers attempt to identify problems and offer lasting solutions to resolve citizen’s complaints.

Some of the most common activities of the patrol division include DUI enforcement; traffic enforcement; drug enforcement; and, responding to alarms, neighborhood concerns, domestic violence and other types of disturbances.

Bear Valley Police Officers strive to provide exceptional customer service and superior, value driven responses to the public. Through our dedication to community policing and problem solving philosophy, we endeavor to maintain a safe and peaceful environment in which people can live and work. The patrol unit’s obligation is to enhance the quality of life throughout Bear Valley; work in partnership with the community to provide professional services; render aid to those in need; ensure an environment free from fear; bring those who violate the law to justice; and, protect all people, their rights, and property, in accordance with legal, moral, and ethical standards.
