Juveniles Arrested in Bear Valley Thefts
Bear Valley Springs, CA, 12/22/2010 - The Bear Valley Police Department has arrested two male juveniles, ages 16 and 17, they believe are responsible for two residential burglaries and a string of thefts from area vehicles.
Bear Valley Police Department Sgt. David Watts said that during the investigation of a reported daytime burglary Dec. 16 at the 27000 block of Barkes Way, “evidence led us to a residence in the lower valley area where two suspects were ultimately taken into custody.”
Bear Valley Springs, CA, 12/8/2010 - Club-wielding vandals struck a home and six vehicles in Bear Valley Springs in the early morning hours of Sunday, Nov. 28, leaving windows and windshields smashed.
Bear Valley Springs Police Sgt. David Watts said the department responded to a 3 a.m. call from a resident who heard glass breaking.
“Items were thrown through the window of the house,” Watts said.

Bear Valley Springs, CA, 9/13/2010 - A domestic violence dispute ended with a shock on Thursday, Sept. 9, when police used a taser to subdue suspect Daniel Buehn, 51. Bear Valley Springs police said Buehn, a BVS resident, had earlier attempted to break into a private residence where his wife was located. “We received a call at noon, while the crime was in progress,” said Bear Valley police Sgt. Dave Watts. “The other individuals in the house attempted to stop him from entering, and a fight broke out.”
Bear Valley Springs, CA,7/20/2010 - A Bear Valley Springs woman charged with embezzling money from an elderly woman who hired her as a caregiver pleaded no contest July 7 to a lesser charge of forgery, according to the Kern County Superior Court.
Fatma Ali Noormohamed had been charged with felony embezzlement exceeding $400 and felony grand theft after the Bear Valley Police Department and the Kern County District Attorney’s Office determined she forged thousands of dollars worth of checks while working as a caregiver for 86-year-old Bear Valley Springs resident Bernice Keller.

A Bear Valley Springs man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a vehicle he was driving crashed into a resident's garage early Thursday morning, July 1, according to the Bear Valley Police Department. Mark Agar, 32, was also arrested on suspicion of hit and run and was taken into custody "near the scene of the crash," Sgt. David Watts said.

Bear Valley Springs, CA, 5/25/2010 - On August 28th, 2009, Bear Valley resident Margaret Mikkelsen, 64, was struck and killed by an out of control vehicle that had left the roadway in front of her residence and careened into her yard, where she was tending her lawn. Early into the investigation, it became suspected that the collision may have been more than just an accident.

Bear Valley Springs, CA, 5/19/2010 - Following a deluge of telephone calls and in-person visits from concerned residents, it has become apparent that concerns about new registered sex offender moving into the community have festered into incorrect rumors in regard to his presence. As of this notice, no violations of parole have been committed.
Bear Valley Springs, CA, 1/19/2010 - Two Tehachapi men were arrested Wednesday, Jan. 13 when an undercover sting operation resulted in a successfully executed search warrant at a residence in the 19000 block of Meadows Road in Golden Hills.
Andrew Lee Tunnel, 21, and Robert Ewerling, 19, were arrested during the search, which turned up stolen electronics, computers and jewelry, according to the Bear Valley Police Department.
