Major Injury Accident on Bear Valley Road - Updated

Bear Valley Springs, CA, 6/23/2011-   As reported on 06/21/11, officers of the Bear Valley Police Department responded to a reported “head-on” vehicle collision at the intersection of Bear Valley Road at Pheasant Court in Bear Valley.

Early evidence reflects that a pick-up truck driven westbound on Bear Valley Road by Thaer Irvin, 30, of Bear Valley, crossed over and into the path of a vehicle that was traveling eastbound, driven by the 55 year old Jesse Ramirez of Tehachapi.

Both Irvin and Ramirez sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision, with Irvin being transported by air to Kern Medical Center (KMC). A third person, James Barnes, 30, of Tehachapi, who was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Irvin, also sustained major injuries in the collision. Barnes too was transported by air to KMC, where it was announced that he had succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation into the cause of this accident is ongoing.
